GOLFERS MAY NOW SIGN UP OR RENEW FOR THE
2010 SEASON
Great News for New and Existing Members!
The Twin Cities
Golfer's Club now uses the USGA's
GHIN
as its official USGA
handicap card service provider.
Past members (who had been using NGN) scores will be transferred into
the new and improved GHIN system.
|
The USGA handicap card system allows you to track your scores and
progress, supports local and nationwide golf programs, and qualifies you for
the entrance into handicap-adjusted tournaments.
Now you can carry a USGA handicap card without expensive club dues or having to
play and post at one course.
Join the Twin Cities Golf ClubTM and enjoy
USGA handicap service, invitations to local tournaments and golfing events, and
special golf-related discounts. Enter your scores and print out your handicap
card on any computer with internet access. Get a handicap card for the first
time or transfer your service if you have had a handicap card in the past.
Communicate with other members and view your scores and handicap index online or
at most Minnesota courses (via the GHIN system). Please note that
the official MN golf season (for score posting) is April 15 through October 15.
Registration processed within 5 business days.

FAQ's
|
Q1. If I was a member before, will my scores be transferred
from NGN to GHIN?
A2. Yes.
Q2. How do I find out my GHIN number?
A2. Click here to look up your GHIN number. If you don't
see your name, email us at
info@twincitiesgolf.com
Q3. Why did we switch to GHIN?
A3. Golfers now receive the additional benefit of being able to post scores at
most MN golf courses and also receive a Minnesota Golf Association membership. GHIN is a service of the USGA and worldwide is the most widely
recognized "official" handicap service. Twin Cities Golf Club members are now
also able to participate in MGA-sponsored tournaments.
Q4. How do I print out my handicap card?
A4. Beginning April 15 of each year, GHIN will email you a handicap revision
update every 2 weeks. Included in this email is a printable version of your
handicap card. If you need proof/
verification sooner than that, the MGA recommends you:
1 - go to ghin.com
2 - click on Handicap Lookup
3 - enter your GHIN number
4 - print out your scoring history (your handicap is
listed)
Q5. How do I post scores?
A5. You can post scores (a) online here at
www.TwinCitiesGolf.com (view POST A HANDICAP SCORE link in the left
navigation) or (b) at courses that have a GHIN computer. Post scores with your LAST
NAME and GHIN NUMBER. Click on Find Course Rating/Slope button to choose your
course. If the course you played is NOT in the system, enter the rating and
slope, your score, and course name in the boxes. Most courses locally and
nationwide are in the GHIN system. See below Q5 for how to post scores hole by
hole or to track your stats.

Q5. How do I post Hole-by-Hole and track my stats? (This is for Twin Cities
Golf Club members only)
A5. In order to post hole-by-hole and track your stats, you will first need to
set up an account with GHIN's eGolfer. While you are on the Post a Score
page, click on Create a profile now! in the eGolfer section (see below). Make
sure you know your GHIN number (view here or email us at
info@twincitiesgolf.com )

Once you have set up your eGolfer account, login then click on Post to
myStats

Then in the STATISTICS TYPE box, choose Hole-by-Hole or All Statistics. If you
choose Hole-by-Hole, the GHIN system will automatically do Equitable Stroke
Control (ESC) based on your handicap.

If you would like your score routed to your GHIN scoring record (recommended),
then check the box by
Do you want this score routed to your GHIN handicap record.
