Help Restore a 100-Year-Old Landmark Tree and Preserve Our Golf Course’s History after a vandal cut down tree in the middle of the night
Help replant “the century tree”
For generations, our golf course has been more than just a place to play golf—it has been a gathering place for families, friendships, competition, and community memories.
At the heart of our course stood something truly irreplaceable: a magnificent 100-year-old tree that helped define one of our most iconic golf holes. This tree wasn’t just part of the landscape—it was part of the identity, strategy, beauty, and history of our course. Countless golfers shaped their rounds, memories, and stories around it.
Recently, in an act of vandalism, this treasured landmark was intentionally cut down.
The loss has been heartbreaking for our golfers, staff, and the entire community.
Now we have an opportunity to restore what was taken.
Our goal is to raise $7,500 to:
Remove the damaged remains safely
Prepare and restore the affected area
Source and plant a mature replacement tree
Add security cameras to discourage future vandalism attempts to our property.
Create a commemorative marker honoring the history of the original tree
As a community-focused public golf course, we work hard to keep golf affordable and accessible for everyone. Because this was an unexpected expense, replacing this landmark was not part of our annual budget.
Rather than passing costs on to our golfers, we’re asking our community, neighbors, golf lovers, and supporters to help us restore this important piece of local history.
Every contribution—large or small—helps.
Together, we can make sure future generations experience the same character, beauty, and challenge that this historic tree brought to our course since 1929.
Please donate, share this campaign, and help us bring this piece of our course back to life.
