1888

Town & Country Club (St. Paul, MN) - Recognized as the first golf course in Minnesota, it introduced golf to the Twin Cities area. Initially established as a social club in 1887, it added golf in 1888, making it over 130 years old.

1889

White Bear Yacht Club (White Bear Lake, MN) - William Watson laid out the first nine holes in 1912, with the full course completed in subsequent years.

1898

Minikahda Club (Minneapolis, MN) - One of the earliest private clubs in Minnesota, it began as a social and boating club but added golf by 1898, surpassing the 100-year mark.

1899

Northland Country Club (Duluth, MN) - This Donald Ross gem is widely regarded as one of the best designs in Minnesota.

Lafayette Club (Minnetonka Beach, MN)

1909

Interlachen Country Club (Edina, MN) - The original 9-hole course was designed by William Watson. Later, Donald Ross designed the current 18-hole course, which is largely the same as today. Robert Trent Jones made some alterations in 1963.

1910

Austin Country Club (Austin, MN) - founded by George A. Hormel, the founder of Hormel Foods Corporation.

1914

Golden Valley Golf and Country Club (Golden Valley, MN) - recently re-named The Club at Golden Valley, this A.W. Tillinghast design was recently restored to it’s Tillinghast original grandeur.
